Our family does not participate in the national tradition of mass spending on this lovely day after Thanksgiving. I hope you have found something better to do with your time and money.Today the boys and I are taking the day off of school to make homemade Christmas gifts for our family. This year at least 90% of our gift giving will be homemade, and not store bought. I have been encouraging my friends and family to do the same. Hopefully, this year will mark the start of another cool tradition for our family.

Perfect. I am with you. I know I love to receive handmade gifts. They say so much. You listed some great handmade gift ideas. Cool chocolate spoons. I think I will try that one.
