Living Hope - Pizza Ranch - A FlyBy Promotions Review & Giveaway

Adrie Groeneweg founded Pizza Ranch in Hull, Iowa with six original pizza recipes developed by his mom.  What began in 1981 as the dream of a 19 year old in Iowa has grown to over 180 locations in 13 states.  Michigan, where I call home, is host to three of those locations all on the west side of the state.  Unfortunately, I am an "eastsider" through and through.  So, this little gem is safely tucked in my back pocket to be pulled out on the occasion we happen to be on a road trip or vacation.  For my local friends you can find the three locations Hudsonville, Muskegon, and Holland.

Keeping with their vision "To glorify God by positively impacting the world." Pizza Ranch partnered with a dozen different artists and created the album Living Hope.  From Adrie Groeneweg, President and CEO of Pizza Ranch, Inc.:


"This album has a very special meaning for Pizza Ranch.  Although Pizza Ranch is not in the music business, many things have been happening, conversations have been taking place, and doors have been opening for this album.  Through these events, I believe it was obvious that God had been behind this for his specific purpose and putting it on our hearts to collectively create this project.  As such, we call this our miracle album, Living Hope."

                    

The kids and I have really been enjoying our time listening to this CD since we received it.  It's a fun combination of songs.  Some we recognize, and others are brand new and especially written for this album.  My personal favorite is A Little Hope by Bart Millard of Mercy Me.  Here's a little word from him personally:

Pizza Ranch released the CD Living Hope on June 2, 2015.  It contains 12 songs written by some of their favorite artists such as Colton Dixon, Michael W. Smith, Kevin Max, Sidewalk Prophets, and Ellie Holcomb.  The CD will be available for purchase for $5 plus tax exclusively in Pizza Ranch restaurants or for download on the Official Pizza Ranch Website through August 31, 2015.

"I’m really passionate about the song SKY SPILLS OVER.  It was fun creating it in the studio and I’ve been overwhelmed at the response it gets when we perform it live every night.  My son Ryan is a really talented filmmaker so I always enjoy working with him on a project.  But what made this project even more special was that 3 of my own grandkids were in the video.  This video was a lot of fun to make.  I hope people enjoy it!"

Can you believe we've increased our family size by three children and 14 grandchildren since we joined together almost 18 years ago?  Well, me neither!  Our family will officially number 24 after we add a third son-in-law to the mix in just a couple weeks.  CRAZY!  With our ever growing family in mind I share Michael W. Smith's excitement about his Sky Spills Over music video.  Any venture done as a family is all the more special and enjoyable.  Talk about making memories!

Plumb CD Review & GIVEAWAY - A FlyBy Promotions Review

There's nothing quite like music to lift the spirit.  I have to admit my ability to listen to and enjoy music was greatly diminished when I lost the hearing in my right ear nearly 10 years ago now.  The constant white noise is still annoying and greatly aggravated by loud noise.  It has come to my attention that I don't listen to music like I used to.  It's near impossible when I am the driver of my vehicle, and I have a passenger.  Loud music and conversation are near impossible with my good ear facing the driver's side door.

With an emerging adolescent in the house that loves to sing, listen to, and play music I find that I am giving the act of listening to music a little more effort.  The latest CD by Plumb, Exhale, is the first new CD I've had in I cannot even tell you how long.  We brought it along on our latest field trip to the local aquarium.  It was the perfect length for our hour long ride, and everyone enjoyed listening.  We even recognized one of the songs from the radio.

Our enjoyment didn't stop there.  I didn't realize how much the adolescent enjoyed the CD until she asked for special time to go on You Tube and look up songs from the album.  There she discovered a video featuring Plumb talking about the back story to her song Lord, I'm Ready Know.  It made a very positive impact on her, and she's still talking about it.  In the short time that we've had the CD we have listened to it several times already.  I have a feeling it will make it back into the player today during our Friday cleaning.  No better way to get things done than to crank up good tunes!
