My little guy loves rice, and he loves peas. This is seriously the easiest toddler food and/or side dish I make. It's a surprising flavor pack that is an excellent addition to your meal or does just as fine on it's own with a nice salad. This is a wonderfully simple way to use up leftover rice.
This photo is from Cooking Channel TV and is linked with a recipe for baked rice. I love making baked rice, too. It is super easy. You should give it a try! |
Ingredients:
4 cups Cooked Rice
1 cup Frozen Peas
1/2 cup Water
2 packets George Washington’s Golden Seasoning
Instructions:
- Place rice in large sauce pan with water.
- Cook on low heat for about 5 minutes.
- Add peas and seasoning.
- Continue cooking until warmed through. About another 5 minutes.
- Serve hot.

Hi Tina! I've resurrected Friday Farm Girls...just for you ;-) Everyone had dropped out, so I decided to shut down my memes as I was the only participant. But now that the growing season is upon us, I think FFG will be fun, even if it's small. It'll get me back to blogging again, hopefully! I've been so overwhelmed with life lately, I haven't had the emotional energy to write. But FFG is easy to do, so it's a good start...thanks for encouraging it!
Many blessings,
Lori
