Christian Disclaimer Rant

Warning! This post may contain Christian content.

The above statement REALLY burns my butt. Why is it always necessary to warn the general public if something they are about to read may contain thoughts or ideas based on Christianity? It is not common practice to see any of the following:

Warning! This post may contain Buddhist content.

Warning! This post may contain Hindu content.

Warning! This post may contain New Age content.

Warning! This post may contain Wicca content.

Warning! This post may contain Yoga content.

Warning! This post may contain Ancient Tao content.

Warning! This post may contain Muslim content.

Warning! This post may contain Jewish content.

Come on people, give me a break! Supposing we are all capable of making and forming our own opinion what the heck does it matter the content if there is something to be gained? Given the mentality of warning that something may contain Christian content shouldn't ALL literature warn of it's contents?

For Pete's sake! Put on your big person briches and take it or leave it. Don't expect everyone to put a disclaimer on their posts! If I read something that doesn't fit in with my personal belief system I can figure that out all on my own. I don't turn my nose up at any information based on it's origin. Quit singling out one way of life and expecting a disclaimer. What's good for the goose...
