It's Official

The Zoo Crew is officially participating in Entrecard by giving 100% of the widget air time to EC credit paid ads only.

For those of you that were waiting for your paid ads to display on my widget, please accept my sincere apology for canceling your ad. It is nothing personal. I had to go with what felt right to me, and that is to accept EC credit paid ads only.

I will pay attention to the changes that are happening within Entrecard and keep myself informed. Should things change in a manner that I feel comfortable participating in, I will gladly start accepting paid ads at that time.

In the meantime, The Zoo Crew will dedicate 100% of the widget air time to EC credit paid ads.

Thank you for supporting The Zoo Crew in this decision. I look forward to approving your EC credit paid ad as well as placing my EC credit paid ad on your site as I can afford to do so.

I am definitely with you on this. However, we just have to look out. There is a serious bug in EC system. By right there is a 24 hours grace period before the paid ad will automatically be showing if we do not manually approve or reject the paid ads in our dashboard. I have a few of these paid ad sneaking into my widget when they have only been in my dashboard for 1-2 hours.

Thank you for the information. I did not know that. I will definitely pay closer attention.

I am very close to making this same decision. I am getting sick of dealing with all the paid ads.

I am currently testing paid ads on my widget. However, I set to to only show blogs and ads that I approved. Hopefully I won't be disappointed. We shall see what will happen.

Lenox Knits & Maria - I tried it out to give it a fair shake, but I really did not like it at all. It felt totally wrong and was a big inconvenience. Life is MUCH easier now that I have done away with it, and my EC value has gone up for my blog. Happy experimenting!

thanks for the enlightenment on this:)) I'm not so updated with EC. I was just shocked one night to find out I had 20 or so paid ads to be approved/rejected... shame on me!
I had to the same thing I think... it's just annoying that I'm always flooded with these paid ads...
have a great Friday!

Shawnie - You are more than welcome, and you enjoy your weekend. It's supposed to be sunny here!

I'm with you 100 percent on this. I have done posts also and am only accepting ads paid with EC credits, and not accepting any paid advertising. If things don't change, I will seriously consider dropping out of EC. I think I've even noticed a drop in visitors.
